Urban Meyer still going back to the Tim Tebow well

But that hasn’t stopped the Buckeyes’ program from enlisting one of Meyer’s former stars … and never mind that he never wore the Scarlet and Gray. Ohio State is using Tim Tebow to promote Meyer’s football program. The Tweet featuring a Tebow quote and his picture is doing exactly what the school intended – getting a lot of attention. Tebow, of course, played for Meyer at Florida, winning a Heisman Trophy. As a freshman, he was a backup QB on the Gators’ 2007 BCS National Championship team, Meyer’s first national title. Florida’s victim in that 41-14 victory was … Ohio State. Tebow threw for a touchdown and ran for a TD in that game. Tebow went on to win a national championship as a starter in the 2009 BCS National Championship game. The Tweet uses part of this quote from Tebow about Meyer that appeared in a story earlier this week. …
