Oklahoma football: Bob Stoops talks Buckeyes, Ohio roots, OSU-CMU in Monday teleconference

With a win against Louisiana-Monroe in the rear view and No. 3 Ohio State on the horizon, Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops had plenty to talk about during his Monday Big 12 coaches teleconference. Here are some of the high points in advance of Saturday’s big game against the Buckeyes (6:30 p.m., FOX). What about Ohio State concerns Stoops? “Everything,” Stoops said. “Great players, excellent skill everywhere. Coach (Urban) Meyer and his staff all do a great job. You can tell they’re a very well-coached team as well. The obvious guys, J.T. Barrett, I think is just exceptional in everything he does. The speed around him is a lot to deal with. Defensively, I think Malik Hooker is an exceptional football player. Just watching him. It’s fun to watch him, just how good he is. He and McMillian also, the middle backer. To go with a bunch of other guys as well. You’ve got Hubbard as well. A bunch of good players on that side of the ball also. Did OU recruit Wichita Falls, Texas, native J.T.
