Ohio State football | J.T. Barrett named one of two Silver Football winners

On the heels of leading his team into the College Football Playoff, Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett today was named one of the two winners of the Chicago Tribune Silver Football award, with Penn State’s Saquon Barkley the other honoree.“It’s a tremendous honor,” Barrett said. “It’s one of the things you don’t take time out to think about during the course of the season. You go out there to win games, play your best.” The award, decided by a vote of the 14 Big Ten coaches, long ago came to stand for the Big Ten’s “best player,” as the Tribune defines it.
