Ohio State Cornerback Damon Arnette Announces He Will Return to Ohio State For His Senior Season

Damon Arnette is returning for one final season at Ohio State, the veteran cornerback announced on Friday. Arnette was ranked as the sixth-best cornerback in the 2019 draft class by Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller, and appeared likely to be selected in the middle to late rounds of the draft. Entering his redshirt senior season, Arnette has been a starting cornerback for the Buckeyes for each of the past two seasons. After recording 44 tackles, two interceptions and eight additional pass breakups in 2017, Arnette recorded 40 tackles, one interceptions and had six additional pass breakups this past season. He also saw playing time as the Buckeyes’ fourth cornerback and on special teams in 2016 after redshirting his first season at Ohio State in 2015.
