Ohio Stadium ranked as fifth-toughest environment for 2019

Ohio State is about as blueblood as they come in college football. The Buckeyes have been playing the game since 1890 and had been a dominant force for the majority of that time. In October of 1922, Ohio State built Ohio Stadium, a replacement for the Scarlet and Gray’s previous home, Ohio Field. Then a 66,210 seat stadium, the Horseshoe, as it came to be known due to its unique shape, grew into one of the most iconic venues in all of sports. Today, the Buckeyes still call Ohio Stadium home, but now play in front of regular sellout crowds of 104,944 fans. That number of seats is down from the previous capacity, which saw a record crowd of 110,045 for the 2016 rivalry game against Michigan.
