What to make of Ohio State's QB room after Martell's transfer

So much has changed for Ohio State since the Rose Bowl, it’s hard to believe the win over Washington happened just over two weeks ago. The head coaching change from Urban Meyer to Ryan Day was predetermined, and with that inevitably came coaching turnover, but who could have predicted the transition in the Buckeyes’ quarterback room? Heading into the Rose Bowl, the Scarlet and Gray had Dwayne Haskins, Tate Martell, Matthew Baldwin and Chris Chugunov on the roster as scholarship quarterbacks and incoming freshman Dwan Mathis committed. With Justin Fields transferring from Georgia to Ohio State on Jan. 4, Haskins declaring for the NFL Draft three days later, Mathis signing with the Bulldogs during the Early Signing Period and now the announcement that Martell will transfer to Miami, the Buckeye quarterback room has a rather different look to it than it did just over two weeks ago.
