When I first started covering Ohio State football recruiting over 30 years ago “talking” to a prospect meant in-person or over the phone. Now “talking” also includes social media and especially Twitter. Back again today with a collection of the top tweets after Ryan Day landed a commitment from 2020 Cincinnati (Ohio) Elder offensive lineman Jakob James. The 6-foot-5 and 275-pound James is a 3-star prospect in the 247Sports rankings. He is the country’s No. 630 overall 2020 prospect, the No. 69 offensive tackle and the No. 17 prospect in Ohio. The Buckeyes now have seven class of 2020 commitments. The seven are quarterback Jack Miller, wide receivers Gee Scott Jr. and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, running back Darvon Hubbard, offensive tackles Paris Johnson and James, and center/guard Luke Wypler.
