COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State evened up its season series against Rutgers with a 76-62 win at home. Ohio State had everything going in the first half led by Kaleb Wesson who made his first six shots. The sophomore forward spent a large portion of the first half with more points than the entire Scarlet Knights roster, managing to play the whole half without committing a single foul. He wouldn’t commit his first foul until the 9:11 mark of the second half. Defensively, the Buckeyes held Rutgers to just 40.7 percent shooting in the first half while they shot 46.7 percent. They took a 37-29 lead into halftime behind Wesson’s 21 points. He’d end the game with 27 points and five assists.
