There was plenty on Ryan Day’s plate come Jan. 2 when he officially became Ohio State’s head coach. If he was going to come near filling the shoes of Urban Meyer, getting his ducks in a row started on Day 1. Day had to figure out which players were going to declare early for the NFL Draft and help close out the 2019 recruiting class before National Signing Day.
