The Buckeyes have seven verbal commitments in their 2020 recruiting class, a class that is currently ranked No. 4 in the country in the 247Sports Composite recruiting rankings. The staff also has one verbal commitment to start their 2021 recruiting class, and it was a grand slam commitment from the country’s No. 3 overall class of 2021 prospect in the 247Sports rankings, defensive end Jack Sawyer. The staff is certainly working on those two classes. It may seem early for the 2021 class, but the staff has already offered over 45 class of 2021 prospects. Top Ohio State 2021 targets include five Ohioans at this point of course led by Sawyer.
