COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State is coming off its worst loss of the season on Sunday, but the good news is that the result probably didn’t affect its tournament chances too severely. The Buckeyes weren’t expected to beat Purdue in West Lafayette — though they could have made it a little more competitive — meaning a win would have been a bonus for a team that’s already gotten a win over a ranked opponent. But Wednesday, the Buckeyes will play their most important game of the regular season when they face Northwestern. The first time the two met Ohio State won in convincing fashion at the Schottenstein Center 63-49. They’re favored to win again on the road, but that carries pressure to do so.
