Ohio State’s defensive line is once again expected to be one of the strengths — if not the strength — of the team this season. The Buckeyes do lose defensive tackle Dre’Mont Jones, but everyone else is back. This includes fifth-year senior defensive tackles Robert Landers and Davon Hamilton, plus junior defensive end Chase Young and senior DE Jonathon Cooper. They are expected to be the starters (all but Hamilton were starters last year — and Hamilton played a lot). Ohio State also has tremendous depth up front. This includes sophomore DEs Tyreke Smith and Tyler Friday, fourth-year junior DT Antwaun Jackson, sophomore DT Tommy Togiai, junior DT Haskell Garrett, sophomore DT Taron Vincent (who was working on the side when OSU began spring ball on Wednesday), fifth-year senior Jashon Cornell, redshirt freshman DE Javontae Jean-Baptiste, and true freshmen DEs Zach Harrison and Noah Potter.
