The Buckeyes have scored big with their 2021 quarterback recruiting, getting their man there with the commitment of Kyle McCord from Philadelphia (Pa.) St. Joseph. McCord is a 4-star prospect in the 247Sports rankings. He is the country’s No. 113 overall 2021 prospect, the No. 8 pro-style quarterback, and the No. 5 prospect in Pennsylvania. The Buckeyes have offered at least a half dozen 2021 quarterbacks across the country, but the one they were ready to go on was McCord. And McCord was ready too. He visited Ohio State in early February and has had the Buckeyes at the top of his list since then. McCord is a legitimate 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds with a strong enough and accurate arm.
