Penn State recruiting in the James Franklin era has featured many isolated commitments, but for the most part, the program has built the bulk of its recruiting classes over the last six years on multi-pledge runs over a couple of weeks or a month throughout a cycle. The Lions are currently in the midst of one, as four offensive linemen and one quarterback have joined the fold since April 2. The Class of 2020 now has 10 verbal commitments, which is good for the No. 6 spot in the 247Sports’ Composite rankings and No. 1 overall in the Big Ten. May has typically been a good month for the Lions, as all but one of the last four classes have been added to during it.
