As the No. 4 seed, it was seen as a darkhorse to knock off one of the big three, make a run to a tournament title and get the automatic bid to the upcoming 2019 NCAA Softball Tournament. But instead, it all went south on Friday. The Buckeyes suddenly lost control in the circle, couldn’t solve No. 5 seed Wisconsin pitching and fell in six-inning run-rule affair 10-1. But all is not lost. Many feel like Ohio State has done enough to still get an at-large bid. It has an impressive record both in the Big Ten (17-6) and overall (34-16) that you would think would be enough to catch the eye of the tournament committee.
