COLUMBUS, Ohio — Kendall Milton isn’t staying close to home to play college football. That should give the Ohio State Buckeyes a chance to lure the five-star running from California to Columbus as a major piece of their 2020 recruiting class. Ohio State has eight players verbally committed for 2020, seven of them on offense. That includes a quarterback (Jack Miller) and two receivers (Gee Scott Jr. and Jaxon Smith-Njigba) and maybe another receiver on the way (Julian Fleming). Nothing is more important to the Buckeyes recruiting right now than a running back. And no option would fit better than Milton, a 6-foot-2, 220-pounder from Clovis, Calif., which is just outside Fresno.
