COLUMBUS, Ohio — A.J. Kirk of Dublin Coffman (Ohio) High School took part in the morning session of Ohio State’s first one-day camp of the summer and by the end of it, he’d earned an offer from the Buckeyes. Kirk is rated as the No. 174 overall player and No. 5 safety in the 2021 class by 247Sports. The four-star safety is the younger brother of former Ohio State player Mike Doss, who was a three-time All-American as a safety from 1999-2002. In his career he recorded 331 career tackles, eight interceptions, eight fumble recoveries and six sacks. He was inducted into the Ohio State Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011. Doss tweeted out his excitement to learn the news of his younger brother’s offer, but there has been no indication that a quick commitment is expected.
