Ohio State baseball: Coach Greg Beals earns three-year contract extension

Beals last month led his team to a Big Ten tournament title, OSU’s second in the past four years. The seventh-seeded Buckeyes became the lowest seed to capture the conference tournament title. Ohio State also appeared in the NCAA tournament for the third time in four years, and the 22nd time in program history. The Buckeyes were eliminated from the Nashville regional by Indiana State, finishing the season with a 36-27 record. The 36 wins marked the second-most for OSU in Beals’ tenure, behind only the 2016 season when his team went 44-20-1. Beals has an overall record at OSU of 261-203-1.
