The Buckeyes are looking to sign at least one 2020 safety and almost certainly two if they can land two they really like. In late February they hosted one of their top targets in Lathan Ransom from Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic, and they then hosted another top safety earlier this spring in Jordan Morant from Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic. Morant’s visit came a little later than originally planned. Morant was going to visit Ohio State on March 31, but the visit came a little later – in late April. But none the less it was a very good visit and the Buckeyes have made a big cut by Morant. Morant posted the five schools he currently plans to move forward with and Ohio State was one of them. Morant named Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, USC and Texas A&M as his five.
