CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Buckeye Shaker Square Development Corporation has reached a settlement with a group of workers who sued over not being paid for mowing lawns and cleaning up East Side properties. The agreement was noted in filings in federal court following a settlement conference Wednesday in front of U.S. District Judge Christopher Boyko. It comes months after a lawsuit was filed over unpaid wages from the development corporation in City Councilman Ken Johnson’s ward. The exact terms of the settlement were not immediately known. However, the development corporation is expected to make the agreed-upon payment. Johnson and his council aide never responded to the lawsuit, according to court records.
