Melton says it is 'a blessing' to commit to Ohio State

When Mitchell Melton officially visited Notre Dame and Michigan, his thoughts eventually shifted to how those schools compared to Ohio State. And when the Olney (Md.) Good Counsel outside linebacker officially visited Ohio State, there was no comparison with other schools. So the 6-foot-3, 235-pound Melton ended his recruitment with a commitment to the Buckeyes, which he announced moments ago. “I chose the school because I couldn’t see myself anywhere else,” Melton said. “Even though I was visiting other schools, in the back of my mind, I just always envisioned myself at Ohio State because everything they do there, and who they are as a university. It aligned with who I am as a person. It made the most sense for me and my family.” Melton is heading to Columbus to play outside linebacker.
