Ohio State football’s Brendon White has been the ultimate team player despite lack of playing time so far: Buckeye Take


COLUMBUS, Ohio — When Ohio State football introduced its new bullet position it was supposed to provide a way onto the field for Brendon White by giving him a permanent home. This season was supposed to be a breakout year, yet so far it’s been the opposite. But it’s not because he isn’t good enough to be on the field. It’s because the Buckeyes’ first two opponents didn’t call for a bullet. “A lot of the teams we’ve played against have been in some 12 personnel, two tight ends,” co-defenisve coordinator Greg Mattison said. “When teams start spreading out and getting a little looser that way, we like to go with the bullet position more.
