COLUMBUS, Ohio — In the first of two straight weeks where Ohio State football is favored by a large margin, the Buckeyes will face Maryland. Don’t expect Ohio State to pull its starters early in the game even if they take an insurmountable lead by the end of the first half. They’re coming off of a bye week and will have another opportunity to rest their star players on the road the following week against Rutgers. Because of that, there’s a chance that the offense could be in for a big-time afternoon. Expect multiple players but up major numbers. Justin Fields has yet to have a 300-yard passing day as a starting quarterback and what better week to work on the passing attack than against a team where the outcome isn’t a worry.
