With both the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes, the schedule threw us off


COLUMBUS, Ohio — It’s rivalry week, Ohio State vs. Michigan and the Browns vs. the Steelers, with both Ohio teams on the road. Saturday and Sunday might encapsulate the slightly tilted view we’ve had of Ohio football this season. Michigan might give the Buckeyes a game, and Pittsburgh might give the Browns a boost towards a playoff push. The Buckeyes are favored by 9, the Browns favored by 1, and I think both Ohio teams will win, and that’s no small thing. Only three times in history have the Buckeyes beaten Michigan and the Browns beaten the Steelers on consecutive days — in 1955, 1962 and 2012. If both teams do win, we may realize this: The Buckeyes aren’t as perfect as we thought, and the Browns aren’t as putrid.
