
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Chase Young became the first Ohio State football player in 11 years to win a major national award when he took home the Nagurski Trophy as the nation’s top defensive player. Young’s trophy case is quickly filling up, as he had already won Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and Defensive Lineman of the Year. He and teammate Justin Fields will be in the spotlight Saturday as two of the four finalists for the Heisman Trophy. Thursday night could be a banner night for the Buckeyes with four players up for five awards at ESPN’s The Home Depot College Football Awards show.
