
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Big Ten champion Ohio State football continues to pile up the lion’s share of conference awards. Associated Press voters selected quarterback Justin Fields as Offensive Player of the Year, defensive end Chase Young as Defensive Player of the Year and Ryan Day as Coach of the Year. Young was an unanimous choice. The Buckeyes also claimed 14 spots on the AP’s first and second-team All-Big Ten rosters. Fields, running back J.K. Dobbins and right guard Wyatt Davis made the first-team offense. Young, defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton, linebacker Malik Harrison, cornerback Jeff Okudah and safety Jordan Fuller made the first-team defense. Fields, Dobbins and Young were unanimous selections. Second-team selections included four more members of the offensive line — left tackle Thayer Munford, left guard Jonah Jackson, center Josh Myers and right tackle Branden Bowen.
