
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s Chase Young continues to add hardware to his trophy case as he has now won the Ted Hendricks Award. The award is given to the nation’s top defensive end. He is the first Buckeye to win the award and the fourth player from the Big Ten to do so. He is also a finalist for the Heisman Trophy along with the Walter Camp, Maxwell and Bednarik awards. The junior defensive end leads the nation in sacks (16.5), sacks per game (1.50), sack yards (117) and tackles-for-loss per game (1.91). He also ranks fourth in the country in tackles for loss with 21 and ranks second in forced fumbles with six and tackles for loss yards with 129.
