
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football players began learning about Jeff Hafley’s decision to become Boston College’s next head coach late Friday night. Players are aware that the coaches who recruit them might not remain at that school to see through their entire careers. In Hafley’s case, he did not even recruit any of the current Buckeyes and only spent one year in Columbus. However, he made a connection and an impact in that time. “Surprise, but happy,” cornerback Shaun Wade said of his reaction to the news. “He’s family at the end of the day. (I) understand he has his family. “That was his dream.
