Ohio State Buckeyes football suspends recruiting visits until April 20


In response to growing fears over the spread of the coronavirus, the Ohio State Buckeyes football program has taken a proactive approach to limiting exposure. On Wednesday evening, Ohio State coach Ryan Day announced that all official and unofficial visits to campus will be suspended until April 20 and that his coaching staff will not conduct off-campus recruiting this spring. “We will suspend all official and unofficial visits to our campus through April 20 while we continue to monitor and adjust to today’s changing issues,” he wrote. “In addition, our coaches will not recruit off campus this spring while we follow the university’s new temporary travel guidelines.” Similarly, the University of Michigan will limit spring practices, which begin March 17, to essential personnel only, barring parents, recruits and others from attending.
