Ohio State football spring practice halted as Big Ten suspends team activities through April 6


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football spring practice and other sports are now fully on hiatus after the Big Ten Conference suspended all organized team activities through at least April 6. The league said a decision on activities will be re-evaluated after that date. Ohio State has not made any formal announcement regarding spring football practices beyond the cancellation of the spring game. The Buckeyes are currently on spring break and were scheduled to resume practice on Tuesday. The development is the latest measure taken in response to the coronavirus pandemic. On Thursday the Big Ten canceled the men’s basketball tournament, then canceled all remaining winter and spring sports competitions through the end of the academic year.
