DaVon Hamilton taken 73rd overall by Jacksonville Jaguars in NFL Draft 2020: Ohio State football


COLUMBUS, Ohio — DaVon Hamilton’s presence on Ohio State football’s defensive line may have been quiet, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t substantial. The Jacksonville Jaguars selected the Buckeyes’ big defensive tackle 73rd overall in Friday’s third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. The 6-4, 320-pound Columbus native turned some heads at the NFL Scouting Combine in February. Hamilton’s bench press was the best of all defensive linemen, and his running tests were also solid for his size. Hamilton had his best performance in terms of creating pressure as a senior. He recorded six sacks and eight hurries after managing zero and five, respectively, as a junior.
