Jonah Jackson taken 75th overall by Detroit Lions in NFL Draft 2020: Ohio State football


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Jonah Jackson’s football journey took him from Rutgers to Ohio State — and now continues on to Detroit. The Lions selected Jackson, the Buckeyes’ offensive guard, with the 75th pick in Friday’s third round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Detroit previously selected OSU cornerback Jeff Okudah on Thursday with the No. 3 pick. The 6-3, 306-pound Jackson brings versatility and advanced pass-blocking skills to the NFL. He allowed only one sack over the past three seasons — one as a part-time and two as a full-time starter. Pro Football Focus gave Jackson a pass blocking grade of 87.1 in 2018 — eighth nationally among all right guards. It graded him as the fifth-most valuable left guard in 2019.
