COLUMBUS, Ohio — Five-star cornerback Tony Grimes of Princess Anne High School has once again trimmed down his list of schools, and Ohio State football has made the cut. The nation’s top cornerback and No. 7 overall player has long had a commitment date of Dec. 1 and will spend the next seven months deciding between the Buckeyes, Georgia, North Carolina and Texas A&M. It’s the third time since September that he’s cut down his list. Grimes is one of three top 10 players in the country where Ohio State is still running for, along with Washington five-stars Emeka Egbuka and J.T. Tuimoloau. However, he seems to be the only of the trio that is trending away from the Buckeyes. Their top-rated 2021 recruiting class would without question take Grimes, but should he choose otherwise, they would still be well-equipped in the secondary.
