
Students and staff returning to Ohio State this fall must sign a pledge affirming their understanding of what’s needed to help fight the spread of the coronavirus, the university announced Wednesday. Students, faculty, staff and others at Ohio State University this fall will be required to wear masks indoors and sign a pledge “to affirm their understanding of what is needed to help fight the spread of the (corona)virus and their intention to do their part.” Mention of the pledge was included a campus email sent Wednesday, as well as on Ohio State’s new Safe and Healthy Buckeyes website, which focuses on the university’s COVID-19 response. Ohio State’s coronavirus transition task force is still finalizing the pledge, according to the campus email from Bruce A. McPheron, OSU’s provost, and Dr. Harold L.
