Ohio State has many great traditions, so many that Bucknuts had a poll asking Buckeye fans what was their favorite sports tradition at the school. The winner of the poll, by nearly 50 percent of the vote, was The Best Damn Band in the Land performing Script Ohio. If you are somehow unfamiliar with the tradition, it is a simple one. Prior to every home football game, the Ohio State marching band enters the field in a line, slowly spelling out “Ohio” in cursive across 50 or so yards. It is one of the iconic pregame moments in college football. Recently, the fine folks at Ohio State’s Farm Science Review recreated Script Ohio in a field via four students on riding lawnmowers.
