
The first major shoe in terms of big-time college football in 2020 dropped on Thursday. The Big Ten announced that it will play only conference games this upcoming season in an attempt to gain more control and flexibility in its quest to complete a season of play during the coronavirus pandemic. For Michigan State, that means its 2020 non-conference games against BYU, Toledo and Miami are canceled, and the Spartans will play either a nine-game or a ten-game conference schedule. That schedule will likely look different than how the team’s current conference schedule looks.
