Jordan Hancock, Ohio State football 2021 cornerback target, decommits from Clemson: Buckeye recruiting


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Four-star defensive back Jordan Hancock of North Gwinnett High School in Georgia has reportedly decommitted from Clemson according to 247Sports’ Anna Hickey. Hancock was one of two Ohio State football targets from the Georgia High School to choose the Tigers along with linebacker Barrett Carter. Though since his commitment in March, the Buckeyes coaching staff — and many of its 2021 commits — have still pushed hard to try and flip him. The need to find another defensive back increased after losing three-star Ohio cornerback Devonta Smith who flipped to Alabama in June. Hancock is rated as the No. 76 overall player and No. 6 cornerback in the class. If he joins Ohio State’s No. 1 recruiting class — as he’s crystal balled to do — he’ll be the 12th commit that is rated as a top 100 player and second cornerback along with Jakailin Johnson out…
