Ohio State linebackers coach Al Washington wasted no time in getting out to see 2022 Marysville (Ohio) linebacker Gabe Powers in mid-January. When the dead period ended at midnight on a Thursday night, Washington stopped at Marysville High School on Friday morning. At the end of his sophomore season, in November the Buckeyes had offered a scholarship to Powers. “I was very humbled and blessed to receive an offer and I was very happy that I could get an offer at such a young age,” Powers told Bucknuts at the time. The Buckeyes have continued their strong recruiting efforts with Powers. And today Powers is a Buckeye. He posted that he has committed to Ohio State on his Twitter account.
