COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football will lose four senior linebackers after the coming season, and three more after 2021. The work linebackers coach Al Washington and the rest of Ryan Day’s staff executed over the past year has helped ensure the Buckeyes establish another wave of talent ready to step in behind that exodus. Marysville’s Gabe Powers became the latest pledge Saturday night. He joins Dayton Archbishop Alter’s C.J. Hicks as linebacker commitments for the 2022 class. Both are four-star prospects who can combine to give Ohio State multiple outside linebacker options beside 2021 middle linebacker commit Reid Carrico of Ironton.
