
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The first Ohio State football hype video of 2020 showed players and coaches adapting to the uncomfortable necessities of the coronavirus pandemic. Buckeyes coach Ryan Day, bellowing loud and clear through the surgical-style mask across his face, stayed consistent to the message first adopted when COVID-19 began shutting down sports in March. “Everything about this is uncomfortable, but we can handle it,” Day said in the video clip. “And that’s the challenge we’re under right now. What are you willing to sacrifice?” On Thursday, at least, the Buckeyes willingly sacrificed some comfort in pursuit of their fourth consecutive Big Ten Conference championship and a return trip to the College Football Playoff.
