COLUMBUS, Ohio — Georgia tight end Bennett Christian of Allatoona High School will announce his college decision on Tuesday, but he didn’t want to do so without seeing his top choices in person. The three-star recruit rated as the nation’s No. 370 player and No. 19 tight end in the 2022 recruiting class narrowed down his list of 12 offers to Ohio State, Penn State and Tennessee in July with plans on deciding after visiting each school. Constant extensions of the recruiting dead period eliminated the possibility of him going on a traditional visit where he’d get a chance to meet with coaches, potentially watch practice and get a proper tour of the campus.
