COLUMBUS, Ohio ? As bloated with talent as Ohio State football’s 2021 recruiting class appeared to be at the start of the week, one glaring positional need remained. Looking beyond current junior Tommy Togiai, the long-term answer at nose tackle remained unclear. Who would create the wall in the middle of the Buckeye defense when the current veterans move on? Tyleik Williams may be the answer after the four-star Virginia prospect committed to Ohio State on Thursday. At 6-3, 330 pounds and with room to grow, the nation’s No. 10 defensive tackle in the 247 Sports composite rankings potentially gives the Buckeyes’ class an impact player at three of the four defensive line spots.
