
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football has always been able to identify talent-filled states where the Power Five schools aren’t having tons of on-field success. The Buckeyes have put together the nation’s No. 1 class in 2021 without using that approach. They’ve benefitted from Ohio’s bulk of talent featuring six players in the top 120 — all but one of which are committed to OSU — while pulling two other top 100 players from one of Pennsylvania’s best high school football programs. After adding four-star defensive end Tyleik Williams, they may be able to use it to close out the 2021 class while building on the 2022 class. Williams is rated as the No. 160 overall player and No. 10 defensive tackle as the second player from Virginia to join the class. He follows five-star TreVeyon Henderson, who up until the latest 247Sports composite update was considered the nation’s top running back.…
