The only way John Kolesar wasn’t going to return Ohio State’s kickoff late in the fourth quarter in 1988 was if the Buckeyes kicked the ball through the back of the end zone. With 1:37 to play, the senior wideout received the kickoff just inside his own end zone and returned it to the OSU 41-yard line.
