COLUMBUS, Ohio — Despite campus visits being impractical amid coronavirus, Georgia defensive end Joshua White of Columbia High School says his constant communication with defensive line coach Larry Johnson has helped keep Ohio State football on his radar. While in-person recruiting has been suspended until Sept. 30, coaches are now permitted to contact recruits over email, phone, text, and social media. For recruits, this introduces a culture of virtual visits and developing relationships through the phone. “Since it’s September they’re able to call,” White told cleveland.com. “He (Johnson) checks on me every day and we’ve built a great relationship.
