The Buckeyes went on an incredible run of commitments in March, April and through early May. They weren’t going to be able to keep up that run forever, but they have continued to add on and have still done well through the summer with both their 2021 and 2022 recruiting. The Ohio State staff has continued to add great prospects to both classes. August started out with a huge boom for the Buckeyes when the country’s No. 1 class of 2022 outside linebacker and the No. 1 overall class of 2022 prospect in Ohio, Gabe Powers, announced a commitment to Ohio State. That was followed by the No. 1 class of 2022 player in Kansas, linebacker Dasan McCullough, announcing a commitment to the Buckeyes on Aug. 18.
