The Cincinnati Bengals announced the team’s 2020 captains today and two former Ohio State players were among the seven leaders named. Safety Vonn Bell and quarterback Joe Burrow will join running back Giovani Bernard, linebacker Josh Bynes, wide receiver A.J. Green, punter Kevin Huber and safety Shawn Williams as this year’s team captains. Of the seven Bengals captains, three are new to the organization this season, including both Buckeyes. Burrow was the team’s first-round selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, while both Bell and Bynes were signed as free agents this offseason. Bell was an exciting safety prospect when he arrived to Ohio State in 2013 and lived up to the billing.
