Another weekend past and it was another weekend without Ohio State football. But we know it’s coming. Fans watched a crazy week around the country that featured major College Football Playoff contenders, including Oklahoma and defending national champions LSU, fall or struggle, as the ACC and Big 12 continued to play and the SEC got the season started. Meanwhile, the Buckeyes remained at home, continuing preparation for the 2020 season, which will begin in late October. The last week did finally begin to feel somewhat normal, with the Scarlet and Gray returning to a normal 20-hour per week practice schedule. While the pads won’t go on until daily COVID-19 testing begins on Sept. 30, Ohio State is at least getting work in and feeling like things are progressing toward the start of the year.
