Phil Steele has predicted Ohio State will win the 2020 college football national championship, therefore it comes as no surprise that he is quite impressed with some of the Buckeyes’ position groups. For the purposes of this story, we will focus on where Steele ranked Ohio State’s offensive position groups in his popular preseason magazine and some excerpts about what he wrote about them. The Buckeyes finished No. 4 in the country last season in total offense, averaging 529.9 yards per game. Only LSU, UCF and Oklahoma ranked higher than Ohio State. In scoring offense, the Buckeyes were even better, finishing No. 3 in the land (46.9 points per game). Only LSU and Alabama were better.
