COLUMBUS, Ohio — If you would’ve asked after three games who would be Ohio State football’s best defensive lineman, not many would have said Haskell Garrett. He probably shouldn’t even be playing football right now, given that less than a month before the season, he was shot in the face. But he turned a quick rehab into a quality first game against Nebraska and — with the help of Tommy Togiai — eliminated any worries people would have with the interior linemen. On a defense that features a preseason All-American cornerback in Shaun Wade, three veteran linebackers and a five-man defensive end rotation featuring a bevy of top 100 recruits, somehow Garrett has been the most impressive player.
